Scholastic Teacher's Essentials Catalogue- google your book

If you have a book published, find out where the publisher is selling it by googling your book.

Travelling through cyberspace, I came across this website that had my published book in it. I had to dig though. I mean I wasn't aware at all that the book, Finger Rhymes for the Holidays was in the Scholastic Essentials catalogue. It was under the heading Teachers.

I went to Scholastic.com where I discovered a short bio of myself but no books of mine were included on the website. On scholastic.ca, in a pdf, and under the heading Teacher's Essentials. It was a long search but worth it.

After receiving a letter in 2003 from a Highlights editor that my craft Croatian Fruit basket would be published then waiting 9 years before I saw it in print...well I was thrilled! This publication is highly esteemed and it has a 2,000,000 circulation monthly. It was worth waiting for!

Get Ready, Get Set, Race! by Lily Erlic

Finger Rhymes for Manners

Finger Rhymes for Manners-Content Connected Rhymes for Science, Math, Social Studies and Technology is a book for PreK-K, published by Lorenz Educational Press. It's a book to help parents, teachers and children to interact with one another. I wrote the book. I hope you like it!
My feature action rhyme today is called 'Twelve Friends'. Here's an excerpt:

Here we have twelve friends or more,
                                   (Point around circle of children)

Let's count them while sitting on the floor,
                                   (Count together)

We can say hello or wave today,
                                    (Everyone wave)

We can fold our hands and say,
                                     (Fold hands)

                                    "Let's stand up and play!"
                                     (Stand)

Nature's Patchwork Quilt Mini Review

A new book from Dawn Publications, this book exemplifies the wonders of nature. It explores habitats of the world. The illustrations are detailed and varied, full of life! I recommend this book to children who want to study about creatures and where they live. Here's an excerpt:
                                                  A patchwork quilt
                                                  has many pieces that
                                                  fit together to make
                                                  a beautiful blanket.

Nature is like a patchwork quilt.
                                                  It has many different habitats
                                                  all pieced together to create
                                                  our wonderful planet.

At the Writer's Intensive Roundtable in New York

I presented my manuscript to nine people. It was an exciting experience to have my work critiqued by my peers and an editor. Teatime with Harmony Hen received a good revision. I hope to send it out to publishers soon!
