Runaway Alphabet is a picture book written by Kari-Lynn Winters and illustrated by Ben Frey. It's a delightful book to read to your children or grandchildren. I enjoyed reading it and hope you do too! Here's an excerpt:
At the carnival Pa shivers.
"It's c-c-cold. Maybe some
food will warm us up."
"Pa, listen to the drums!"
d-d-ddd-d.
d-d-ddd-d.
The book has an introduction written by Marilyn Chapman, PhD who says that the book promotes 'young children's literacy development'.
The letters of the alphabet are presented in a fun way. Here's another excerpt:
rrrrrr, rumbles the snowmobile that takes people up
the mountain. Nan grabs a tube and hops on.

I have been producing Cooking Show Videos
You were probably wondering where I have been. For the eight weeks, I participated in the PHILADELPHIA Cream cheese contest. I created videos making recipes that contained cream cheese in them. It was a fun contest. Although, I did not make the finals, I won a ticket to the cook-off, eligible to meet Anna Olson....and the other finalists.
Here is a link to the you tube videos if you would like to watch.

Book Review
Over in Australia-Amazing Animals Down Under, a new book by Marianne Berkes and illustrated by Jill Dubin was sent to me by the publisher Dawn Publications.
Here's an excerpt: Over in Australia
In a swamp in the sun
Lived a fierce crocodile
And her little hatchling one.
"Snap," said the mother.
"I snap," said the one.
So they snipped and they snapped
In a swamp in the sun.
This counting book from one to ten explores animals from Australia in rhyme. Animals mentioned are Emus, Bilbies, Broigas, Sugar Gliders, wombats and more! I give this book 4 out of 5 books. Highly recommended for children ages 3 to 8.

Bink & Gollie book review-Candlewick Press Publisher
Bink & Gollie is a book written by Kate DiCamillo and Alison McGhee and illustrated by Tony Fucile. Two loveable characters, Bink & Gollie, have rollicking fun whereever they go and whatever they do. These funny characters create episodes of comical incidents that tickle the funny bone. The book is lighthearted and fun. Here's an excerpt: "Hello, Gollie," said Bink. "What should we do today?"
"Greetings, Bink," said Gollie. "I long for speed." "Let's roller-skate!"
Here's another excerpt from another chapter:
"As you can see," said Mr. Fishman, "these are truly remarkable fish........"
"I'll take that one," said Bink.
These girls are great friends! It's a good book to get for young readers but I believe its for any age. I give this friendship book 4 out of 5 books rating!
